Your chance to Dine in the Dark
As Norfolk folk, we are spoilt with the number and variety of fabulous different foodie events put on throughout the year but even the most dedicated event-goer can’t hope to attend everything. There is one event, however, that should go straight to the top of everyone’s wish list, and that’s Dining in the Dark, in aid of the Norfolk & Norwich Association for the Blind (NNAB). This unique evening of sensory dining will this year be held on Friday 16th March at the absolutely fabulous Brasted’s restaurant.
For the past three years, Nick Mills and his staff at the multi award-winning Framingham Pigot restaurant have supported the NNAB by holding this blindfolded dining experience. Over 20,000 people are currently losing their sight in Norfolk - this event gives guests the chance to understand what it’s like to eat with no sight, while having their senses enhanced in ways not previously experienced.
The evening is always great fun with a quiz before the three-course meal is served, when guests are invited to taste numerous samples of food, all with different textures & smells. Buzz, the head chef at Brasted’s, always creates some amazing dishes for this event. So if you enjoy sublime food, good wine, great company and something a bit different, this is the event for you!
Tickets are priced at £40 per person for a three-course dinner, with all profits going to the NNAB. The evening starts at 7pm and you can book tickets by calling Brasteds on 01508 491112 or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. More information about the NNAB can be found at www.nnab.org.uk
