Adnams awarded Vodka Producer of the year!

Following a second outstanding trophy win for Adnams Longshore Vodka at the International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC) - as well as a silver medal for Adnams East Coast Vodka and Adnams Rye Hill Vodka - Adnams recently scooped the prestigious title of Vodka Producer of the year at the annual IWSC banquet and awards ceremony. This awards ceremony, held in London each year, brings together the elite of the wine and spirits industry to celebrate the achievements of the year, and to award excellence to wines and spirits worldwide.

Incredibly, it is only eight years since Adnams expanded its brewing operations with the addition of the Copper House Distillery to become the UK‘s first combined brewer / distiller, producing small batch vodka and gins from grain to glass. In this short time frame, the Copper House Distillery has won the IWSC World’s Best Vodka Trophy on two occasions, and the IWSC World’s Best Gin Trophy once; the Vodka Producer’s Trophy helps further consolidate their reputation as a craft distiller.

The final word must go to Adnams Head Distiller, John McCarthy: “With the news recently that small batch vodka is to be the next big thing in the world of spirits, this award couldn’t have come at a better time. Producing a quality vodka from grain to glass is not easy, and it’s great to be recognised by the IWSC for all our hard work.”
