And the Best East Anglian Sparkling Wine goes to… a Proudly Norfolk member!
Hot on the heel of winning the Decanter world wine award (Bronze) for its Horatio 2015 Blanc de Blancs last month, Chet Valley Vineyard’s Horatio 2014 Pink Blush has just won the award for the Best East Anglian Sparkling wine.
Considering that the vineyard’s sparkling wines have only been available and on sale since December 2017 this is exciting news for the family run business, which is located in the Chet valley in the sunny and sheltered village of Berg Apton.
Owner and winemaker John Hemmant and his wife Bridget offer tours of the boutique vineyard as well as wine tastings in the converted stable block on what used to be a traditional farm – and is now firmly focused on producing award winning English wines!
You can find out more about Chet Valley Vineyard at https://www.chetvineyard.co.uk; enquiries for tours and tastings can be emailed to: email@example.com.
