Cooking up a storm in central Norwich!
One of the undoubted highlights of the festival, our Cookery Demonstration Theatre gives you the opportunity to witness some of our county’s most exciting and best-loved chefs doing their thing!
Located inside The Forum, the Theatre’s programme kicks off in style at 10:30 with the award-winning chef from Brasted’s Chris Busby, affectionately known as Buzz.
It is the 3rd anniversary of Benedicts Restaurant, so expect the slots at 11:15 and 12:00 to be full of fun and celebration, headed by Benedicts’ Sous Chef Ashley and Patron of Norfolk Food & Drink and Chef Patron of Benedicts, Richard Bainbridge.
At 12:45 we will welcome the return of a much loved stalwart of Norfolk’s food and drink scene, Richard Hughes, Director of the Assembly House and Patron of Norfolk Food & Drink.
Richard will be followed on stage by home cook, mum, nurse, farmer’s daughter, community volunteer, columnist and contestant on the Great British Bake Off 2016, Kate Barmby.
The penultimate chef on our fabulous line-up this year is Andrew Jones, owner of one of the newest additions to Norfolk’s restaurant scene – Farmyard. Andrew and his wife Hannah have just added The Dial House in Reepham to their portfolio.
Closing the day will be the ever-popular Queen Of Chutneys, Candi Robertson of Candi’s Chutney – who will be joined by Executive Chef of OPEN, Andrew Baker. Whatever those two decide to cook up, we can promise fun and antics on stage!
