Expression of interest welcomed from Proudly Norfolk members

The Enterprise Centre at the UEA has now been successfully operating for three years and the current café lease is now due for renewal. As such TEC is inviting expressions of interest for an operator for their café from September 2018.

TEC is a vibrant and dynamic building, housing business tenants alongside students. Set in a stunning parkland location, it is the gateway building to the University of East Anglia (UEA) on the Norwich Research Park.

This is an exciting opportunity to operate the café and provide high end hospitality in the UK’s greenest building. Multi-award winning and now 3 years into successful operation, the commercial wing of the building has consistently been fully occupied with tenant companies. Teaching and learning takes place in another wing so there is also a footfall of students for the majority of the year. Innovation, sustainability and collaboration are core principles to this fully accessible building. The building is also a top quality inspirational location for an extensive range of events and audiences.

The successful café operator will need to take pride in the delivery of high quality service in order to contribute towards the mutually beneficial commercial growth of TEC. The café, which currently provides 28 places, is on the ground floor of the building, the operating area also includes a rooftop area for seasonal use. The provision of healthy and sustainable food with consideration for environmental, ethical and social issues will also be important. We are keen to ensure that local and smaller suppliers are able to apply for this opportunity.

Expressions of interest are requested from companies with a desire to develop and maximize the extensive opportunities that TEC can offer.
