Norfolk Food and Drink- the people that make it happen!

Norfolk Food and Drink is a not for profit organisation, we operate all year round with a board of volunteers. The glorious band are 9 in number, we are from a diverse background but collectively we strive to meet the objective of the organisation which is to actively promote Norfolk Food and Drink, under the banner of Proudly Norfolk.

We thought it would be a good idea to introduce our new Board of Directors to you all, so here goes:

Colin Kiddell (Incoming Chair) from CS Sales Management; For the last sixteen years Colin has run his own company working with several local, national and international companies. Over the forty years he has attended many food exhibitions in the UK and abroad and has been disappointed that unlike other regions Norfolk Food and Drink is not represented, so his goal is to seek more local and national presentation for our plethora of excellent food businesses.

Adam Vass whose day job is General Manager at Benedicts, is originally from Suffolk. Previously he has worked for some of the best Restaurants in the UK, including Heston Blumenthal’s Dinner, Gordon Ramsay's Maze and Jason Atherton's City Social.
Adam boasts a wealth of experience and has a genuine passion for hospitality, with a focus on a relaxed yet professional service.

Jamie Archer from Archers Butchers is a long-standing winner of Battle of the Bangers & has been persuaded to join the board; he is a third-generation butcher.
Provenance and animal welfare are at the heart of his business, sourcing 95% of his produce from local farmers and producers. Jamie is also a big believer in the importance of quality and customer service, being vital to the survival of a small business in this day and age of large cost cutting multiples.

Stephen Newnham from Crush Foods Stephen was born in Norfolk, & in his own words ‘briefly left’ the county to study politics at university before deciding to start a career in food and drink in London. After several years of missing Norfolk, he moved back to start a new journey with Crush Foods in 2010 and has never looked back. The Crush dream was to produce an oil that offered the public a healthier lifestyle choice alongside a range of delicious products including oils, dressings and granola. They are now one of the largest local providers within East Anglia. All Crush products are produced in Salle, Norfolk under the watchful eye of the small but perfectly formed team!

and Sarah Daniels from The RedCat Partnership at No8 Thorpe Road. Sarah is somewhat evangelical about all things Norfolk and Food related! She is a Chartered Health and Safety Practitioner by profession. She founded the bespoke Health and Safety Consultancy The RedCat Partnership Ltd in 1999, after she found that helping people suited her skill set and personality more than the Enforcement work she was doing! As if running one business wasn’t enough, she opened No8 Thorpe Road in 2014 to provide RedCat with its own Training rooms, and they also now rent these out to other folks. No8 are of course are members of Proudly Norfolk.

The board are keen to ensure that NFAD meets the needs of the local foodie community and would welcome any views contact them directly on
