Show-stopper! HSBC funding available for stands at Royal Norfolk Show

Calling all small Norfolk-based food producers! The Royal Norfolk Agricultural Association (RNAA) has extended its deadline to apply for funding alongside its initiative with HSBC for this year’s Royal Norfolk Show.

You have until 19th January to apply for space in the Adnams Food & Drink Experience Food Hall and, if you are selected for funding, you will only need to pay £50 + VAT for your stand.

This new initiative by RNAA and HSBC is designed to promote businesses that have only recently been established and would welcome the marketing opportunity - or for varying reasons would like, but feel unable, to attend the Royal Norfolk Show (whether this be financial, staff difficulties or otherwise). If selected for funding, businesses will only need to pay £50 +VAT to the RNAA – HSBC funds the remainder of the fee to RNAA directly. There is no obligation to HSBC; their agriculture team is keen to help promote food and farming in the area and they are excited to be involved in a wider community project to help businesses benefit from the opportunities that the Show can offer. They will also have a small team of volunteers available at the Show to help with a new Food Shopping Crèche and (rather brilliantly, we feel) will also be pleased to help cover comfort breaks!

If you would like to apply for space with funding, please contact RNAA Event Sales Coordinator Ben Hope urgently on 01603 594462 or by email ben.hope@rnaa.org.uk. You are advised to supply as much supporting information as possible to help the decision-making process – eg marketing materials, product information sheets, pricing, website information etc. A small panel including the RNAA, HSBC and independent local food experts will assess the applications for a decision to be made no later than the middle of February. If you are not selected for funding on this occasion, but space still allows, you may still exhibit by paying the standard £150 rate.
