The annual Crab & Lobster Festival deserves more than a sideways glance…

Never made it to Norfolk’s annual Crab and Lobster Festival? Make 2018 the year that you discover this wonderful, lively weekend celebration held in two of our favourite North Norfolk coastal towns, Cromer and Sheringham.

The Festival is dedicated to promoting their local seafaring heritage and active fishing communities; the fun starts on the evening of Friday 18th May with a traditional seaside variety concert at the famous end of the pier Pavilion Theatre in Cromer.

Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th May are bursting with a variety of different events including heritage demonstrations, live music, pirates, Razz the Clown, Rollo with Punch and Judy, shopping stalls, street food vendors and a super live demonstration cookery theatre. Add a Lighthouse Art Trail (starts 5th May), a Cromer Crab Sandwich Competition and even a Gardening Festival (at North Lodge Park) and the world is your oyster - or should that be lobster?

You can find out everything you need to know about the festival at

Date for your diary: Sunday 26th August, Cromer Pier, grand charity auction of the lighthouses from the Art Trail and the World Pier Crabbing Championships!
